Mercure London Paddington Hotel is owned and operated by London Town Hotels Limited - one of London's fastest growing hotel groups. London Town Hotels has expanded from just one hotel in West London to a large enterprise of hotels in all areas of Central London including Paddington, Kensington, Notting Hill, Hyde Park and Bayswater.
In August 2004, London Town Hotels acquired the 95 room London Crown Hotel that was situated adjacent to Paddington Station. Although superbly located the hotel in Paddington was in desperate need of renovation in order to fulfil its potential. The hotel was closed in October 2004 to undergo a £5 million refurbishment and re-opened in July 2005 as the Quality Crown Hotel Paddington. This 4 star hotel has proven to be a huge success and is popular with some major global companies including Prudential Plc, Santander, Marks & Spencer Plc, Cerner Corporation and many more.
In March 2011, the hotel was further upgraded and branded with Accor, the world's largest hotel group as Mercure London Paddington Hotel.
