In town with family for the Packers game
Very well located near (adjacent) to the Paddington Railway station. In fact, our room looked down upon the entrance and some construction going on next door. Neither caused any disturbance or noise.
The neighborhood is filled with restaurants and boutiques as well as the station itself. We had no trouble finding our hearts desire during our stay. The tube station is in the railway station which made for quick on and offs and up to our room pronto.
Some reviewers suggest that the rooms are small. Understood. But it did not hamper our experience. The beds were fine and 2 people per room got along fine. I would not hesitate to stay again, especially with front desk personnel like Roxanna who single handedly made the stay worthwhile.
Warm, nice and kind staff here
I would like to say thank you to the staff here, Asher and Diamond. I had left my phone on Bolt when I was on my way back to the hotel, so I was really anxious and frustrated. Asher and Diamond had comforted me so patiently and they provided me with several alternatives to contact the Bolt driver. They had shown me their sympathy and tried to understand my feelings. Eventually my phone was recovered. They were really helpful and provided an excellent service! Their service really satisfied me! Thank you very much!

Our normal hotel to catch Heathrow express to airport
We have stayed at this hotel over many years now. Mainly due to be able to walk in and out of Paddington station for Heathrow express, or now the Elizabeth line( half the price) this of course if either of them are working due to all the strikes when we were just there. Hotel good, restaurant attached. Nothing flash but has always been clean and surprisingly quiet for where it is. We always pay a bit more and get executive room. Staff are very helpful but they did seem to be in a bit of turmoil this time with 4 behind the counter trying to sort things out. Assume this was training someone. Room was not ready for an hour when we arrived but they did give us late checkout which worked better. They used to have a free coffee machine in reception which had broken down when we stayed in May, unfortunately never replaced.

Short end of trip stay
Excellent location and warm friendly staff.
I booked our last 2 nights of holiday due to location next to Paddington Station for easy trip to Heathrow.
On check in staff was very kind and explained our room and helped with one bag to elevator.
When passing through the lobby about an hour later, they asked if everything was good with the room.
Each time we passed the lobby always greeted with a smile and a hello.
Have stayed here 3 other times and each time met or exceeded expectations.
Prices are comparable with other hotels in the area. One bit of advice from my experiences, unless traveling alone do not book the smallest room.

Mecure London Paddington Hotel is a great London accommodation!
This hotel was in the perfect location for access to traveling around London and getting back to Heathrow Airport. The hotel was beautiful with all necessary accommodations available. The room was perfect. Small, but had everything we needed. Bathroom had been updated. The staff were great and couldn’t do enough for us. Wonderful restaurants nearby.
Good staff
Stayed for a few nights in a high floor for business. Elevator was not working but guests were offered to take luggage up and down by the staff on check in which was a plus, as I struggle with steps they also managed to find me a room on a lower floor the next day.
Rooms are smaller than they show on the pictures on websites and a bit dated, but its not the staffs fault. Room had everything I needed, mini fridge, kettle, and I really enjoyed the bottle of shower gel/shampoo as it was a bottle attached to the wall, no fear of running out.
Quick call to reception on departure and a few minutes later my bags were taken down. All staff I met were friendly regardless of the hardship and treatment received by other guests.
I will come back here when in London again.
